As the first new Catholic school established in the Rockford Diocese in over 30 years, Holy Cross Catholic School opened its doors in August 2008 and proudly serves more than 420 students from the Fox Valley area. Rooted in faith and academic excellence, Holy Cross offers a challenging, differentiated education for preschool through eighth grade students. As part of the Diocese of Rockford, we are honored to partner with families who choose to give their children the gift of top-tier academics, faith, discipline, moral development, community, and a safe, nurturing environment. At Holy Cross, we do more than prepare students for classroom success—we prepare them to meet life’s challenges with strength, purpose, and faith. We are committed to educating the whole child and fostering a culture of cooperation, responsibility, respect, and service, forming students to become faith-filled leaders for tomorrow.

"Students that come to Marmion Academy from Holy Cross are well prepared for the rigors of high school. They excel not only in academics, but as leaders in athletics and extracurricular programs."
